On Monday, CBC welcomed Shad as the new host of q.
The musician, whose full name is Shadrach Kabango, officially replaced former Q host Jian Ghomeshi on April 20. Ghomeshi was fired late last year after allegations of abuse and sexual harassment.

To honour the occasion, CBC changed the show’s title from capitalcase Q to lowercase q.
CBC later clarified that all written correspondence would continue referring to the show as Q.
